Casting Coordinator| Celebrity Call Center

Supported casting operations for E!’s celebrity call-in series from Nick Cannon.

Celebrity Call Center is an E! reality series, based on a UK format and developed by Nick Cannon, in which celebrities field real phone calls from fans seeking advice. As Casting Coordinator, I support casting teams across both creative and operational workflows, helping ensure processes run smoothly from initial outreach through final delivery. My role bridges coordination, communication, and organization across multiple departments, keeping projects on track in fast-paced environments. I collaborate with primary and location casting teams to manage documentation and ensure timely submissions, while also supporting international casting operations through hiring logistics and administrative coordination. I assist in organizing casting sessions by scheduling, managing self-tapes, troubleshooting equipment, and overseeing tape uploads, while reviewing scripts and materials to help inform casting preparation. I also manage calendars, meetings, and high-volume communications across internal and external teams, maintaining accurate records, tracking talent and production statuses, and handling expense reporting and day-to-day administrative needs.

Behind the Scenes

Where were you?

Los Angeles, California

What’s the moment things went sideways?

Booking celebrity guests around their own schedules meant plans could change right up to the last minute, so we always needed backup guests ready to step in.

A crew or cast story that still gets told

This show was being produced during the height of COVID, when things were not back to normal and places were shutting down or just about to. We were all working remotely, but as a crew we had Zoom meetups during “happy hours.” At a time when things felt so isolating, it was great to have an outlet where we could still feel like a community, a film crew where we could all be together.

What would a viewer never guess?

How much of casting is scheduling. Lining up celebrity guests, their teams, and our shoot days took constant back and forth, and a lot of it was locked in only days before we filmed.

What were you actually running day to day?

I worked on booking and confirming celebrity guests, coordinating with their teams and agents, and making sure everyone was scheduled and prepped ahead of their appearance.

What are you proudest of on this one?

Getting to work on the casting side for once was a nice change of pace, and I am proud of how many guests we were able to line up and keep on schedule for the show.
